What is the Wine by the Lake Wine Festival?
A: The Wine by the Lake Wine Festival is a festival located at the Lake Anna State park at Lake Anna, Virginia, that promotes both great Virginia wineries but also the Lake Anna community and it's businesses. Patrons will have access to sample wine from over 10 wineries from Virginia. Patrons will also have access to amazing local food from Lake Anna area restaurants and great music.

How much does it cost to get into the festival?
A: Ticket prices are available on our tickets page.

How much are children and people under 21?
A: Children under 16 are free and ages 16-20 are $10 each.

What is included with General Admission tickets?
A: With General Admission tickets, you gain access to the festival, get free samples of wine from all the wineries attending, receive a free sample wine glass, great live music, access to amazing food vendors from all around the Lake Anna area.
NOTE: Parking is not included with tickets this year

What is included with the Designated Driver tickets?
A: The Designated Driver tickets give you access to the festival, but you will not be allowed to sample any wine. You will still have access to all the vendors, great entertainment and amazing food from all around the Lake Anna area.

Is the event family friendly?
A: Yes, the event is family friendly, there will be moon bounces, face painters and more.

Can I volunteer for the event?
A: Yes, you are always looking for volunteers to join our Winecrew. Volunteers are the lifeblood of the festival and would not run with out them. We encourage people to volunteer to help make the festival as enjoyable for all as possible and learn about great wines.

Can I bring my own food and drink?
A: No outside food or drink is allowed through the gate.

Will there be non-alcoholic drinks available?
A: Yes, non-alcoholic drinks and water will be available at the festival for sale by food vendors.

What can I NOT bring into the event?
A: Things that are NOT allowed into the festival are: backpacks, coolers, outside food and drink, weapons of any sort.

What can I bring into the event?
A: You can bring in chairs, frisbees, footballs, cornhole, pop up tents, baby bags and any other activites you want to bring in.

What happens if it rains?
A: This is a rain or shine event. There are no refunds due to weather. Please dress appropriately.

Can I leave the event and then return?
A: No, there is no re-entry to the event once you leave.

Will there be Will Call?
A: No, people who purchase tickets in advance through EventBrite have to print out their tickets and bring them with you. If you do not have your ticket, you cannot enter the event.

When is the last wine poured?
A: The last wine will be poured at 4:15pm.

Will any of the wine run out?
A: Yes, wine will run out. The popularity of some wines along with supplies make it impossible to guarantee a certain wine will be available.

Can I bring my pet?
A: YES. The Lake Anna State Park allows dogs who are on a lease no longer than 6'.

Is there a taxi or cab option for rides?
A: Yes, Culpeper Cab Company will be present at Wine by the Lake. You can call them for rides to the event and they will be present at the event for rides home. Give them a call to schedule your ride today at 540-829-7922 or visit their website.

Where can I park?
A: Parking will be available at the event. Attendants will show you where to park when you arrive.

How much is parking?
A: Parking is paid at the State Park entrance. For parking amounts, please contact the Lake Anna State Park for the correct fee. We are no longer offering free parking to people who purchase their tickets in advance.

Are discounted group tickets available?
A: Yes, discounted group tickets are available if you purchase 20 or more tickets at a single time.
